Opened on March 11, 1901, the Moana Hotel was Waikiki's first luxury resort — a grand statement of colonial architecture rising from the white sands of Oahu's South Shore. Nicknamed The First Lady of Waikiki, she welcomed the world's most celebrated travelers, from royalty and Hollywood icons to heads of state.
